With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Hill Scott of Brookneal, Virginia, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Justin Hill and Nora Mae Crews Williamson; and her brother Tommy Hill. She is survived by: her husband William "Pee Wee" Scott; her children, Dana Fitch (Steven) of Concord and Derek Scott of Brookneal; her granddaughter Dr. Carissa Sprinkle (Travis) of Forest; her great grandchild Charlotte Sprinkle; and her sisters, Brenda Joy (Barney) of Brookneal, Lynn Trent (Jimmie) of Brookneal and Allison Almond (Pastor Mack) of Lynchburg.
