He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Clark Milton and Mary Neal Milton; his grandson Landon Shaff; and his siblings, Byron, Garland, Harold Milton, Evelyn Kuykendall and Edna "Lace" Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Owen Armistead Milton; his daughters, Margaret Shaff (Greg) of Roanoke and Amy Price (Mike) of Brookneal; his grandchildren, Caroline Jones (Jeremy), Mary Anne Price, Lee Price (Keya), Spenser and Sarah Shaff; and his great grandchild Elizabeth Jones.
