He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gibbs Mason and Annie Beatrice Mason; his sister Laverne Mason Wallace; and his nephews, Winston Wallace and Bill Wallace.
He is survived by: his daughter Wendy Mason Clark (Whit) of Gladys; his stepgranddaughters, Holly Lyons (Ron) of Madison Heights and Kara Percaro (Alex) of Chesterfield, VA; his brother Jerry R. Mason (Kitty) of Lynchburg, VA; his nieces, Jennifer Stephens (Joe), Sheryl Parker (Doug), Joyce Ann Heath (Darrell) and Wanda Rackley (Roy); and his nephew Brandon Mason (Allyson). He is also survived by friends and cousins.
