She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Jeanette B. Johnson (Hugh) of Brodnax and Patricia B. Smith (David) of Middletown; her siblings, Mary King of Providence Forge, Gayle McElroy of Brodnax and W. J. Spence, Jr. (Dorothy) of Brodnax; and her grandchildren, Thomas A Michael (Linda) of South Hill, Christopher Michael (Penny) of Brodnax and Matthew A. Johnson of Brodnax. She was also cherished by six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
