He was predeceased by: his sister Louise Puryear. He is survived by: his wife Angela Puryear; his children, Lauren Puryear of Raleigh, N. C. and Brian Puryear (Stephanie) of South Hill; and his grandchildren, Hayden Puryear and Kyle Puryear.
