It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Dare Butcher of Broadway, Virginia, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Earl Edmonson, Sr. and Doris Pauline Nelson Edmonson; her stepson James Powell; her grandson Seth Bailey; and her brother William Earl Edmonson, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband William Powell Butcher; her children, Terrence Butcher (Mikki), Daren Butcher (Debbie), Deborah Bailey (Russell) and Bonnie Fitzwater (Stanley); and her sisters, Brenda Powell and Ava Sullivan (Danny). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sentara Hospice.
