Lois Landis Reid Bowman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Landis Reid Bowman of Broadway, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Landis and Betty Hess Landis; her husband John Charles Bowman; and her siblings, Melba Siever, Janice Good and Buddy Landis.
She is survived by: her daughter Phyllis "Cookie" Verdi (Ed) of Ijamsville, MD; her grandson Eric Verdi (Susan) of Ijamsville, MD; her great grandchildren, Anthony and Alex Verdi; and her close friends, Dick Strawderman of Broadway and Janet Dellinger of Broadway. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Linville Creek Cemetery (408 Brethren Rd, Broadway, VA 22815).
