He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Russell and Nettie Braithwaite Dorsey; and his siblings, Jack, Elmer "Tubb" Dorsey and Jeanne Perkins.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Epling; his children, Colby Dorsey (Courtney) of Rockingham and Shea Dorsey Tussing (Mark) of Broadway; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Dorsey, Emerson Adkins, Reece Adkins, Adam Tussing and Ryan Dorsey; his siblings, James "Jim" Dorsey (Frances) of Winchester, Julian "Blue" Dorsey (Rachel) of Clear Brook, Jerry Dorsey of Stephenson, Joseph "Jody" Dorsey of Winchester and Judy Boyd (Allen) of Winchester; and his pet Sassy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
