It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Louis Nicholas (Broadway, Virginia), who passed away on May 16, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bubby" Daniel and Martha Jane Cook Nicholas; his spouse Alva Marie Spitzer; and his siblings, John Nicholas, Elva "Essie" Pence, Marguerite Turner and Elizabeth "Gin" Jenkins.
He is survived by: his son Gregory L. Nicholas (Bonnie) of Broadway; his great-nieces, Cathy Slifer (Kenny, Jr.) of Broadway and Lisa Spitzer (Jonathan Toman) of Mt. Jackson; his great-nephew Mike Spitzer of Broadway; and also Justin Slifer.
