It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Cecil Matthey (Broadway, Virginia), born in Bristol, West Virginia, who passed away on May 17, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Matthey and Sylvia Utter Matthey; his wife Marcia Jenene Carpenter; his sister Carol Dzurania of Ohio; and his stepmother Alice Matthey.
He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Spitzer (Travis) of Fulks Run; his grandsons, Shane Spitzer (Brandy) and Cody Spitzer; his great grandchildren, Kaleb and Lyla Spitzer; his brother Cassel Matthey of Lumberton, WV; and his close friend Dorothy "Dot" Gladdon.
