She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert F. Wampler and Marguerite Long Wampler of Broadway, Virginia.; and her husband Peter Heilmayr of Fort Worth, Texas.. She is survived by: her sister Carolyn Wampler Snow (Gary Bushong) of Timberville; her nephew Geoff Snow of Harrisonburg; her stepchildren, Dietlinde Heilmayr of Bethlehem and Robert Heilmayr of Santa Barbara, California; and her stepgrandson Arlo Insco.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cat's Cradle Rescue, a non-profit that is close to Claire's passion for animal care.
