He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arley and Cora Alice Sites Mongold; his wife Addie Mae Reese; and his siblings, Budge Mongold, Calvin Mongold, Victor Mongold, Goldie Jackson, Ray Mongold and Pauline Nelson.
He is survived by: his son Cecil D. "C. J."; and his stepsons, Wayne Eye (Doris) of Clover Hill and Phillip Eye (Sharon) of Mt. Crawford. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and four special nieces.
