She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Russel and Ruth Grandle Phillips; her husband Joseph Derrow (Sonny) of Broadway; her siblings, Paul Phillips (Nina), Ashby Phillips (Ruby), Shirley Phillips, Johnnie Phillips (Betty), Cletus Phillips (Wanda), Virginia Armentrout (Galen), Rosie Hensley (Ferrell) and Catherine Armentrout (Mark Babe); and her brother-in-law Melvin Huffman.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Derrow, Melody Hinkle of Annapolis, MD and Tony Derrow (Sue) of Round Hill, VA; her grandchildren, Sidney Reid (David) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jessica of Harrisonburg, VA, Lacey of Annapolis, MD and Joshua; her sister Verdie Huffman of Keezletown; her brother-in-law Donnie Moomaw of Timberville, VA; and her brother Raymond (Juanita Phillips) of New Market, VA. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
