He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Temple Middleton II and Johnie Middleton; his brother Richard Temple Middleton III; his son-in-law Gerald Cauley; and his brother-in-law James Hairston.
He is survived by: his wife Juliette Floyd Middleton; his daughters, Crystan Schneider (Daniel Schneider) of Glen Allen, VA and Kara Temple Cauley of Front Royal, VA; his siblings, Michael A. Middleton (Julie) of Columbia, MO and Jeanne Middleton Hairston of Jackson, MS; and his grandchildren, Juliette, Vivien, Gabrielle Schneider, Christal and Christian Lewis.
