It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Williams Harris (Bristow, Virginia), who passed away on September 17, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hulon Williams and Ruby Williams; her husband Bill; her sister Dawn; her brother-in-law Elton Edwards of Rocky Mount, N. C.; her children, William D. "David" Harris, Jr. of Nokesville, Virginia, Susan Marie Harris of Nokesville, Virginia and Richard Lee Harris of Nokesville, Virginia; her grandchildren, Catherine, Billy (Laura), Adam, Emily (Children), Tristen and Andrew (Children); and her great grandchildren, Peyton, McKenzie and Sophia.
She continued her service in the community with ongoing projects supporting and recognizing veterans for their service, and significant contributions to the renovation of Historic Brentsville, receiving the Historic Preservation Recognition Award in January 2020 for her efforts from the Virginia State Regent of the DAR.
