He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwendolyn Marr King Burriss and William Carpenter Burriss, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Sandretto; his children, Theresa Lynne Burriss (James L. Werth, Jr.) and William Carpenter Burriss III (Elizabeth Kurre Burriss); and his grandchildren, Charles Paul Stanley IV, Campbell King Howard, William Carpenter Burriss IV, Joseph McCall Burriss and Sara Anne Marie Burriss.
