She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bill Rutledge and Pearl Rutledge; her sons, Ben Phillip "Benny" Adams (Fallon) of Damascus, VA and David Andrew Adams of Lynchburg, VA; her grandchildren, Joseph Bryan McNeil (Alise, Madison Lee), Charlotte Rose Adams, Benjamin Jack Adams and Cooper Curran Adams; her great grandchild Grayson McNeil; and her sister Joan Dean of Damascus, VA. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
