With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald William Short of Bristol, Virginia, born in Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on January 25, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, W. T. Short and Hazel Lola Short; his son Kirk Short; and his stepdaughter June Dee Dee Blevins. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Short; his children, Valerie Short, Natalie McClure and Eric Short (Julie); and his stepson Michael Blevins (Pam). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
