He was predeceased by: his son Ricky Slagle; his great grandchild Emersyn Arnold; his brothers, Teddy and Gerald; and his parents, Jim Slagle and Mabel Slagle.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Slagle; his daughter Lori Beauchemin (Eric) of Lincoln; his daughter-in-law Cathy Slagle; his grandchildren, Samantha Counts, Amanda Reynolds (Phillip), Zachary Counts, Kelli DePaolo (Jim) and Reed Boettger; his great grandchildren, Walker Reynolds, Abby, Regan, Millie DePaolo and Edan Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Adam and Tara Johnson; his sister-in-law Gloria Slagle; his nephews, Tim, David and Jason Slagle; and his friend Jeff Davidson.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the family has requested that the visitation be private.
Flowers are welcome, but if you would like to donate, the family is asking that you make donation to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University in honor of his son, Ricky Slagle.
