He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Ann Cole Widner; his parents, Oscar Widner and Zelda Widner; and his siblings, Earl, Georgia, Paul, J. D., Marie, Kenneth, Irene and Baby Widner.
He is survived by: his children, Lynda Widner Fiala (Joe) of Weare, NH, Randall Widner (Jan) of Abingdon, VA and Amy Widner Messick (Kelly) of Bristol, VA.; his grandchildren, Martha, Meredith Fiala, Blake, Caleb Widner (Kaitlyn), Kelleigh, Sophie and Phoebe Messick; his siblings, Goldie McCroskey, Carolyn Buschman, Liz Ashley, Earlene Wood, Larry Widner and James Widner; his grandson Mason Widner; and his children-in-law, Joe Fiala, Kelly Messick and Jan Widner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
