It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Dewayne Jones of Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lee and Lillian Zane Jones; his grandparents, Clyde, Ethel Jones, Lacey and Essie Harless; his aunts, Vivian Hale, Thelma Carrier and Edna Arnold; and his great-niece Karrigan Jones.
He is survived by: his brother Mark Jones (Tammy); his sister-in-law Pat Jones; his nieces, Heather Jones Wheeler (Sam), Allison Jones, Courtney Greer (Brad) and Teaira Maples; his nephew Hunter Jones (Jade); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dominic Alamarles, Daylin Greer, Caydon Wheeler, Leland Wheeler, Easton Wheeler, Holden Wheeler, Gavin Greer and Gunner Jones; his close friends, Bob Hooyboer, Horace Crussell, Mary Jenkins, Brenda Pearce and Hannah Morse; and his pet Gideon.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Blevins Funeral Home (417 Lee St, Bristol, VA 24201). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Buffalo Ruritan Club (200 Willowbrook Drive Bluff City, TN 37618).
