He is survived by: his parent Martha Compton (Bob) of Richlands, Virginia; his children, Noah Miller of Huntington Beach, Charlotte Miller and Savannah Miller of Huntington Beach, California; and his siblings, Selena Arnold of Richlands, Sierra Arnold of Richlands, Nancy Arnold of Lexington, Deidra Wilson (Clyde) of Belfast, Virginia, Eric Compton of Christiansburg and Robbie Compton of Wise, Virginia.
Michael worked at Heart of Appalachia as a graphic designer before the COVID-19 pandemic struck and was a former employee of OH Magazine in California, having also worked there as a graphic designer.
