It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Swiney (Bristol, Virginia), born in Bristol, Tennessee, who passed away on October 13, 2018, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Homer James; her husband Jimmy K. Swiney; and her brother James Whicker. She is survived by: her parent Virginia Leonard Whicker; her sons, Robert K. Swiney (Beth) of Bristol, VA and Mark A. Swiney (Evisa) of Sierra Vista, AZ; her grandchildren, Robert K. Swiney, II, Nikki Swiney, Ashley Pullon, Kristian E. Swiney, Kaitlin E. Swiney, Zachary E. Swiney and Mathew E. Swiney; her great grandchild Isabelle Riley Swiney; and her sister Betsy Willard (Cecil). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in honor of Martha to East End Christian Church, 1216 Texas Ave., Bristol, VA 24201.
