She was predeceased by: her parents, Ancel Leonard Bays and Edna Juanita Wise Bays; her son Jeffrey Lynn Tuell; her granddaughter Jessica Austin Tuell; and her close friend Kermit Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Woody Tuell (Amy) of Abingdon and Angela McMurray (Jim Tatum) of Gate City; and her grandchildren, Amanda Rhoton (Jason), Renick Tuell (Pam), Roger McMurray (Jenny) and Logan Tuell (Keri Ann). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
