It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Ann Barker of Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barker and Ida Barker; her husband Zion Barker Jr.; and her daughter Lynette Elam. She is survived by: her son-in-law Tommy Lee Elam Sr.; and her grandchildren, Syvella Coomer, Angela Cofer (Bill), Tommy Lee Elam, Jr. (Pamela) and Mark Anthony Elam (Grisel). She is also survived by several great grandchildren; several close friends from church; several cousins; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Margaret.
