He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Torres and Aurora Torres (Ortiz); and his siblings, Juan Torres and Lidia Torres Pinella. He is survived by: his wife Riana Ruth Torres; his sons, Richard Torres (Christina) and David Torres; his grandchildren, Zachary Torres (Jocelyn), Bella Torres, Cienna Torres and Natasha Gendron; his stepgrandchildren, Nicole Troutman and Jackie Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Asher Lee Torres and Silas Torres. He is also survived by two nieces, four nephews, and a host of friends.
