He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Sams (Dennis) of Bristol, VA., Beverly Shankel (Mike) of Bristol, VA., Mike Collins of Bristol, VA., Debbie Bogese of Prince George, VA. and Joe Collins (Becky) of Martinsville, VA.; his sister Maisie Thompson of Glade Spring, VA.; and his sister-in-law Jean Collins of Thomasville, NC.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In leu of flowers donations may be made to Midway Baptist Church.
