He was predeceased by: his father Leon Kilgore Tate, Sr.; his wife Patricia Ann Murray Tate; his daughter Jennifer Tate; and his sister Carolyn Ann Kimberlin. He is survived by: his brothers, Donald Tate (Lovada) of Bristol, VA and Jim Tate (Jan) of Bristol, TN; and his daughter Michelle Hamrick of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
