She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Cain and Margaret Cain; her husband Aaron Gray Carter; and her siblings, Alanzo, T. J., James, Johnny, Roy, Jess Cain, Jr., Ralph Cain, Alice Poulakos and Helen Hargraves.
She is survived by: her pet Molly; her children, Jeff Carter (Misty) and Jennifer Elkins (Billy); her grandchildren, Mikayla Elkins, Matthew Elkins, Jacob Elkins, Timothy Carter and Tyler Carter; and her brother Walter "Bud" Cain. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
