He was predeceased by: his mother Juanita Hall; his stepfather Jack Hall; and his brothers, Jack Thomas, C. W. Thomas and Leo Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Vanessa Thomas Romano, Massie Thomas (Nancy) of Bristol, TN, Dean Thomas of Bristol and Barry Thomas of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Gregory Lutz, Justin Carr, Amber Kocur, Kaylee Thomas, Breanne Thomas, Jacqueline Thomas and Jessie Thomas; his siblings, Brenda Thomas, Lonnie Hall (Kathy) and Bobby Hall (Janice); and also, Barbara Smith, Bonnie Blackburn (Bruce) and Judy Belle Hall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
