He was predeceased by: his father John "J. D." Dillard Sproles; his brother Rickie Sproles; and his friend Larry "Sonny" Scardo. He is survived by: his wife Jane Carolyn Sproles; his children, Tabatha Sproles Patel (Vimal) of Apex, NC and John Ervin Sproles (Lauri Ashley); his brother Randy Sproles (Susan); his aunt Carol Wingate; and his grandchildren, Rachel Patel, Anna Patel, Rebekah Patel, Faith Sproles, Jesse Sproles and McKenna Sproles. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
