He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Helton Snead; and his siblings, Mabel Murdock, Raymond, Thurn and Gene Snead.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Snead of Saltville, VA, Amy Gardner (Doug) of Winston-Salem, NC and LeAnna Holmes (Jak) of Rural Retreat, VA; and his brother Charlie Snead of Saltville, VA. He is also survived by nine grandsons; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
