He is survived by: his wife Loretta Bryant Steele; his children, Cathy Austin (Tiny), Karen Yates (Dewayne) of Haysi, Virginia, Gary Steele (Carlotta) of Wise and Billy Steele (Martha) of Castlewood, Virginia; his grandchildren, Brandon Steele, Adria, Brad Austin (Erin), Brittany Steele, Katie Addington (Ethan) and Kelly Steele; his stepgrandchildren, Vanessa Napier, Josh Yates, Cody Yates and Alex McArthur; his great grandchildren, Eli, Maci Addington, Jackson, Josie and Jace Austin; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emma, Ella Napier, Reece Yates, Daniel Yates, Paityn and Elliott McArthur; and his siblings, Mike Steele, Ronnie Steele (Tonya), Sharon Hall (Jerry), Marilyn Stacy (Homer) and Janet Whittaker (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
