He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude S. Maines and Anna Lee Sams Maines; his son James Robin Maines; and his brother George C. Maines. He is survived by: his daughters, April Adams (Mark) of Abingdon and Julia Medearis (David) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Blake Adams, Tanner Adams, Alex, Elizabeth and Daniel Medearis; his sister Linda Webb of Bristol; his niece Karen Moss; and his nephews, David Webb and Dan Webb.
