She was predeceased by: her parents, George Goodwin and Pearl Goodwin; her former husband Bob Carter; and her husband Jim Bowman. She is survived by: her son Keith Carter of Bristol, VA; and her brother Bobby Goodwin (Brendagail) of Copperas Cove, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
