It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Waylan Salyer of Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on November 23, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivory Salyer and Ramona Salyer; and his siblings, Donald Salyer, Dolan Sayler, Jimmy Salyer, Leon Salyer, Edith Dixon and Joan Wolfe.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Salyer; his children, Penny Branch (Steve), Waylan Salyer, Jr. (Wendy), Dale Salyer and Brad Salyer (Pamela); his grandchildren, Megan Lunsford, Jennifer Lunsford, Waylan Salyer, Martha Jones, Breanna Wise, Trenton Salyer, Trey Cox, Brittany Nunley, Naomi Salyer, Tara Salyer, Joshua Salyer and Nicholas Salyer; and his siblings, Sammy Salyer (Maggie), Darius Salyer, Tiger Hawkins (Sharon) and Mary Dell Jessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Covid-19 capacity mandates of 25 persons are to be followed during this time along with face coverings and social distancing.
