He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas of Washington and Carrie Dona Thomas. He is survived by: his siblings, Edgar Duane Thomas, Danny Thomas, Marlene Burzynski, Janice Counts, Roxine Childress, Novella Childress and Evelene Thomas of Vancouver, Washington.; his daughter Sherry Sandra Thomas; his grandchildren, Aaron Pridemore Steele, Megan Renee Steele, Sherry S. Thomas and Joseph Pridemore Steele; and his son-in-law Joseph P. Steele (Sherry S. Thomas).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church (21503 Benhams Road Bristol, VA 24202).
