With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elwin James Rice (Bristol, Virginia), born in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 20, 2018 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Edward Charles; his daughter Lynn Townsend; and his brothers, Leland, Ronald and Lloyd Rice.
He is survived by: his parent Eunice Lila Hall Rice; his wife June H. Rice; his son Stephen Rice; his grandchildren, David Rice and Stacie Jenkins; his great grandchildren, Cody Jenkins and Lynley Mercer; and his siblings, Connie McEwen and Edward Rice. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
