She was predeceased by: her former husband DeWitt Clinton Chafin; her daughter-in-law Janet Lee Chafin; and her parents, Roberta Burnette and Howard Burnette. She is survived by: her sons, DeWitt "Rusty" Clinton Chafin II and Timothy Howard Chafin; her granddaughter Katie Chafin-Owens; her husband Isaac Owens; her grandson Clinton Howard Chafin (Morgan O'Quinn); her great grandchild Cash Easton Owens; and her close friend Betty Willis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
