He was predeceased by: his parents, John Martin Proos and Marcileen Roman Proos; his wife Helen Jones Proos; and his brothers, Jack and Tom Proos.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Jamie Jones of Matthews, N. C., Gregg Jones, Sue Wilson of Wake Forrest, NC. and Clara Spurlock; and his brother Bill Proos (Barb).
