He is survived by: his parents, Albert Sherwood and Gertrude Sherwood; his siblings, Amanda Dean, Albert "Bud" Sherwood Jr and George Sherwood; his wife Virginia "Hun" Sherwood; his grandson Joseph Sherwood; his sons, David (Lisa) of Southern Pines, NC, Mitchell (Melinda) of Newnan, GA and Charts of Charlotte, NC; and his grandchildren, John Eyre, Jack, Mac, Evan, Landon, Sam, Virginia "Jenna" Sherwood, Janet Marie and Amanda Gunnels.
