He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bradley and Hattie Mae Carter; his wife Ocie Lamie Carter; and his brothers, Earl and Ralph Carter.
He is survived by: his children, William "Rasty" Carter (Andrea), Brad Carter (Sandy), Linda Joane Carter and Susan Robbins (Lenny); and his sisters, Louise Moore and June Buchanan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
