It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Richard Gilbert in Bristol, Virginia, born in Wytheville, Virginia, who passed away on November 28, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Gilbert and Ella Mae Smith Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Emma Sue Gilbert; his son Darrell Richard Gilbert (Lisa) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Richard Gilbert of Bristol and Bethany Taylor (Chris) of Pflugerville, Texas; his great grandchildren, Khloe, Jaden and Scarlett; and his brother-in-law Verl Irvin of Wytheville.
In observance of Covid-19 restrictions social distancing will be practiced and masks will be required for attendance.
