He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Austin and Lillian Ruth Neel Tickle; and his brother Roger Wayne Tickle. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Knapp Tickle of Kegley, WV; his children, Ginny Fisher (Hooger) of Bluefield, VA, Billy Tickle (Cyndi) of Bluefield, VA, Chris Tickle (Susan Vaughn) of Savanah, GA, Jaime Goodman (Dawn) of Monterey, CA, Joe Goodman (Lori) of Johnson City, TN, Karri Carlile (Chad) of Teton, ID and Kelly Patel (Neal) of Princeton, WV; his siblings, Randall K. Tickle of Gulf Breeze, FL and Maxine M. Roaten of Bluefield, VA; and his grandsons, Jody Fisher, Aaron Fisher, Christopher Belcher II, Codi Belcher Carlile and Brandon Goodman. He is also survived by 20 Grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
