We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2025, at the age of 81, Charles Robert Hicks Jr. (Bristol, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Charles Robert departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Charles Robert. Though Charles Robert may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R Hicks and Thelma Hawk Hicks. He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Hicks, Jeanette Hicks, Margaret Lee Burnette and Earl Hicks; his wife Carolyn Hicks; and his son Robert Hicks (Misty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Euclid Avenue Baptist Church (900 Euclid Avenue, Bristol, VA 24201). A committal service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:45 AM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Glenwood Cemetery (839 Bluff City Hwy, Bristol, TN 37620).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be sent to Euclid Avenue Baptist Church, 900 Euclid Ave. Bristol, VA 24201 or Providence Community Church, 19175 Woodland Hills Road Abingdon, VA 24210.
