He was predeceased by: his parents, Branch Franklin Waddell Sr and Dora Ann Braswell Waddell; his wife Virginia; and his siblings, Lillian Goodman, Mildred Waddell, Beatrice Calloway, Ralph, Clyde and Paul "Doc" Waddell.

He is survived by: his son Michael Waddell (Ingrid) of Bristol Tenn; his brother Joe Waddell; his grandson David Waddell (Shannon) of Asheville; and his great grandchildren, Delia, Darby and Jayden.

Memorials may be made to McGill Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministries, 5300 Poplar Tent Rd., Concord NC 28027.
