She was predeceased by: her husband Richard; her parents, Glen Brown and Lucille Brown; her sons, Ricky and Randy Townsend; her siblings, Chester Brown, Jerry Brown, Barbara Bowers, Charlotte Murray (Arthur) and Linda Sharna (Dennis); and her grandchildren, Jamie Moore and Donna Townsend.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Moore (late Carl) and Rebecca Grizzel (Gary); her siblings, Andrea Miller (late Charlie), Dr. Roger Brown (Julie) and Wayne Brown (late Carol); her sister-in-law Shirley Brown; her close friends, Ann Brown and Opal Grizzel; and her grandchildren, Carl Moore Jr. (Amber), Angela Miller (Mike), Amy Alexander (David), Travis Widener (Jamie), Michael Grizzel (Shelly), Scott and Stephanie Townsend. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Adoration Church (152 Old Airport Rd, Bristol, VA 24202). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Rooty Branch Church (551 Rooty Branch Rd, Bristol, TN 37620).
