He was predeceased by: his parents, Banner Phillips and Agnes Hurd Phillips; his siblings, Bill Phillips and Dorothy Amos; and his children, Ronnie Wolfe and Janet Salyer.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Phillips; his daughter Sandra Kay Phillips (Jeremy Ball) of Dante, Virginia; his grandchildren, Amanda Harris (Ryan) of Castlewood and Shane Salyer (Tabbie) of Castlewood, Virginia; his great grandchildren, Ryland Harris and Brantley Townes; and his siblings, Hazel Barnette of Castlewood, Ruth Phillips of Dante, Virginia, Paul E. Phillips (Barbara) of St. Paul, Rev. Ted Phillips (Joyce) of Castlewood and Jerry "Squeak" Phillips of Dante, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of friends.
Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
