He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Cole and Evelyn Leonard Cole; his uncles, Clifford Cole and Will Cole; his aunt Hester Cole Thomas; and his son Kristopher Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Marie Hale Cole; his daughter Marisa Miller (Eddie); his grandchildren, Ariana Hill of Bristol, TN, Grayson Cole and Luke Cole of Elizabeth City, NC; and his siblings, Virginia Wright (Forrest), Sally VanHoy (Ed), Peggy VanHoy (George) of Bristol, VA, Luther Cole (Bernice), William Cole (Vada) of Bristol, VA, Gladys Baijot (Jerry) and Hal Cole (Pam) of Bluff City, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
