It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willis Waddell Hughes of Brightwood, Virginia, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Hughes and Aurora Hughes; his wife Anne; and his siblings, Marjorie, Martha, Wallace, Harry and Hunter.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Dare Burnette; his sister-in-law Joyce Hughes; his sons, Randy, Timothy (Darlene) and James (Laura); his grandchildren, Drew (Christina), Marissa (Tim), Clarissa and Connor; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, June and Jovie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
